Remy Chevalier – Eco Warrior Extraordinaire and Green Curmudgeon – recently pointed us toward eco-chick, an informative, fresh and entertaining green blog that is collaboratively penned by a geographically disperse flock of environmentally active women.
Eco-chick was hatched by Starre Vartan, a very smart freelance environmental writer with a string of eco-savvy articles that have appeared in E / The Environmental Magazine, the Hartford Advocate, and other environmentally and socially aware publications. Starre is also a dining editor for the local Fairfield Weekly. One of her blurbs, “Eat Like A Porn Star,” is not what you think but Thai-Me-Up funny.
Other regular eco-chick contributors include Kimberly Jordan Allen (focusing on natural health and wellness), Jennifer Cross (currently living and writing in Spain about travel for the free at heart), Ann Benoit (graphical artist and designer living in Berkeley), Jennifer Villeaux (B.S. in Environmental Science, M.S. in Environmental Science and another contributor to E / The Environmental Magazine), and Summer Raynes Oakes (the leading edge of a growing group of environmentally conscious models who use fashion as a platform for advocating global sustainability).
With a flock of writers this diverse and smart, the blog entries wander across the spectrum of environment thought and products – eco travel, cosmetiques (Nude Lube?), climate change, shopping, green business, green fashion, herbs and homeopathics (“Buns of Steel Don’t Come Without Pain”), holistic health (“HealthCare Without Harm”), organic dining (“Organic Sake … mmmmmm”), and loads of other eclectic thoughts from the ecosphere.
The content is entertaining, lively and informative, but perhaps what is even more fascinating is what their blog entries reveal about themselves. Check it out and have some fun with the eco-chicks.
Enjoy.

Purely beautiful & healthy clothing
hi all! i'm new to this site, but glad i found it because i'm really interested in finding more companies that are selling fair trade and organic fabric products. i love a company called Earth Divas already. /you should all give the site a look, it's wonderful. all the products are fair trade certified, and organic and natural fabric products. as the name suggests, there's plenty of clothing for women. there's also products for men, and bookbags that seem real sturdy and well-made. i just like their message, too. no hype, very real; trying to provide people with beautiful and environmentally-conscious products because that's what we need to be focusing on these days.
give a look! recommended. www.earthdivas.com
