Remy Chevalier recently sent a notice about a new YouTube video clip “Behind the Label” giving a behind-the-scenes peek into a Summer Rayne Oakes photo shoot for Lucire, the global fashion magazine. The photo shoot is hip, edgy and slightly risqué but the interviews with Summer are pure eco-fashion. Summer radiates intelligence, depth, beauty and passion for all aspects of ecological awareness. Her message in this short video clip is that all consumers should look “behind the label” to see where their products are made, if they are sustainable and ecologically sensitive, and if the growers and manufacturing workers are treated ethically and with Fair Trade.
Summer Rayne Oakes is always genuine, informed and informative, clear, coherent and never preachy or condescending. She speaks with passion, intelligence and commitment on eco-fashion and eco-awareness. More good news is that this isn’t her only YouTube video. It’s worth a few moments to also take in “Summer Rayne Oakes Speakers Reel” which includes clips from her numerous speaking engagements at art and fashion institutes, business and entrepreneurial classes and environmental symposia. Summer moves easily and competently between the worlds of haute couture fashion and environmental studies. She has become the leading spokeswomen for a growing number of models who are intelligent, articulate, environmentally aware and willing to speak out.
In “Summer Rayne Oakes – Modeling Reel”, you can watch her in catwalk action for top eco-designers such as Linda Lindquist and at the Ethical Fashion Show. It’s a different world out there, folks.
Summer Rayne Oakes also has an expansive web presence. Her official site at SummerRaynes.net, her monthly eco-fashion editorial for Lucire magazine that goes behind-the-label to peek into new eco-friendly apparel and assessories, and her “Generation S” site that celebrates her S4 principals where “substance, style, sexiness and sustainability don’t just meet, they embrace.” Oh yes, and Summer is also one of the principal contributors to the free roaming blog, Eco-Chick, founded by Starre Vartan with a flock of dynamic contributors including Kimberly Jordan Allen, Ann Benoit, Danelle Brown, Jennifer Cross, Greg Grigoriou, Brianne Goodspeed, Katie ‘Kian’ Kish and Dan Sieradski.
Many thanks to RemyC for
helping to get the word out about the latest directions in eco-fashion and
environmental activism. As many from

into jobs, marriage, commuting and corporate
Enjoy.
